Career Planning

“Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” ~ Howard Thurman

Career Planning

Career Designs for Life understands that making career decisions isn’t always easy and that sometimes it is difficult to know where to start. Depending where you are at in your career journey and what your goals are there are a variety of services available to support and assist you.

Career Planning is a 4 step process:

  1. Getting to know yourself
  2. Exploring your options
  3. Choosing your direction
  4. Putting your plan into action

A solid career action plan starts with defining your short and long term goals and getting clear about YOU – your preferences, interests, likes / dislikes, and needs / wants. We will determine if a formal assessment or inventory tool is right for you and which one is the most appropriate for your situation. Career Designs for Life can also support and assist you to research occupations, explore education and training options, identify funding options, and connect with potential employers.

"During a very difficult career situation I needed a career specialist with an open mind and sensitive ear.  Paula helped me find clarity in my career search and confidence in my marketability.  I would certainly recommend her services."
